Give the usual french toast a make over with this flavorful savory recipe. I have made a working-no-time-person/student version with a shortcut that turned out to be delicious! But if you have to make it from scratch it is no big deal really. Breakfast, snack or for tea time. This is one easy treat!
This recipe is inspired from a lovely person, a dear friend I consider as one among my homies, who I have surprisingly not even met till now. She has her own new beautiful blog that is filling up with some really mouthwatering recipes, do check it out : https://shanakuttyeats.wordpress.com/about/
Ingredients (serves 2 persons)
3 teaspoons Coriander-Mint chutney (I used the delicious readymade chutney by Sangi's kitchen which contains coriander, mint, lemon juice. You can also add a green chilly when making your own sauce)
5 tablespoons whole milk
Salt and pepper
4 good quality bread slices. I used multigrain sandwich bread slices.
Grease of your choice - I used rice bran cooking spray. You can use butter or olive oil.
Whisk very well ingredients 1-4 until it turns nice and green.
Soak your bread slices in the whisked eggs.
Grease a fry pan and allow both sides of the dripping bread to turn slightly crisp and cooked through.
